Age of Taurus

This ancient era ranges approximately between 4300 BCE – 2150 BCE during the Bronze Age. The statue of the Kneeling Bull comes from this time period in Mesopotamia. Called the Fertile Crescent, and renown as the Cradle of Civilization is located between the Tigress and Euphrates Rivers in the Middle East.

Zodiac Bull: a resourceful animal during the Age of Taurus used to till earth, and feed humanity milk, cheese, or meat as culture reaped benefits through trading agricultural resources. The Taurus archetype centers on resources both external material ones and the resourceful talents within the individual. Other essences of the Taurus archetype include food, money, and in this ancient era, bronze and cattle. Metal bronze was facilitated both as a material tool and for art. I reflect how ideal that such an important resource and art product began within the Age of Taurus that Venus rules. Venus, or the Greek Aphrodite, is the the goddess of beauty and harmony in life forms.

Bronze

No one knows whether it was an accident or purposeful to create the bronze alloy by mixing copper with tin 6000 years ago. Importantly, bronze gives a greater durability than copper alone. Importantly, bronze changed culture dramatically by its use. Besides weapons, bronze made tools including animal harnesses to enable transportation for trading resources, and a stronger coinage.

We might just imagine, how the shift of a durable coin allowed commerce cultures to grow trading food commodities. Because coins, as money, functions to facilitate exchange of resources or services. Money provides a way to measure value besides bringing diverse societies together through reciprocity by trading goods.

Mesopotamia’s accredited as the first civilization.

Earliest accounting records come from Mesopotamia found in Sumner, Assyria and Babylon of Mesopotamia. Writing is one of the major components defining the advent of a civilization. Clay tablet artifacts of trading financial records are housed at The Occidental Institute museum at the University of Chicago. Tablet records indicate writing’s early start through the necessity to record the resources traded and record the prices exchanged. People traded food, weapons, tools, art – they too required record keeping.

Also labeled the Bronze Age, beauty, stability, and material wealth characterized the Age of Taurus period 4300-2150 BCE. Early civilization flourished. Trade networks and metalworking achieved great growth for art, culture, and the material aspects of human life.

What new tools might Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus bring?

If our times relate,  might we ask what new tools might these mighty archetypes plant into our consciousness of manifestation? Would they be New coins? Incredible resources? Advanced weapons? Creative ideas for resolutions?  All possibilities as we witness Artificial Intelligence (AI) bounding forward on the  Aquarius electrical currents ruled Uranus. In addition, Jupiter rules the heavenly sky realms connecting far corners across the globe. Connecting ideas, and connecting people’s unified wholeness of interconnected resources.

April 20, 2024 the great Jupiter of growth and abundance transit made a conjunction with the great visionary awakener of Uranus. Their cosmic conjunction in Taurus represents a communion with Gaia the goddess of earth. Primordia Uranus coming from Chaos and Gaia’s mythology. Evolved through the Titan Gods they produced, to the Olympian gods of Jupiter’s lineage where humanity received the spirit of fire and free will.

Survival

Jupiter and Uranus conjunction in Taurus, a fixed earth sign, reminds us of Taurus archetypal survival issues. As we’re confronted with imbalances presented from changing climate, ocean pollution, overfishing, and land/water/ GMO genetic engineering food production concerns. As Wayne Dyer, an American author and motivational speaker, counseled for us to choose living consciously in connection to what he calls an intentional field representing the life source energy. Because, he advises, the source of life supports abundance of well-being as its natural state.

Since the Age of Taurus represented the growth of culture and civilization through creating a new alloy in bronze, perhaps our era may discover the alloy of uniting humanity’s growth through beauty’s essence of harmonized perspective.
